CzWA

The Czech Water Association (CzWA) is a professional organization bringing together experts in wastewater treatment, water supply, and water management in the Czech Republic. It supports education, knowledge exchange, and cooperation between practice, research, and public administration.

Marek Maťa

Prof. Ing. Jiří Wanner, DrSc.

Jiří Wanner works as a professor at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague in the field of Water Technology. He teaches courses in Water Management, Sewage collection and sewerage systems, Biological Treatment and Reuse of Wastewater and Technological Calculations and Mathematical Modelling. His research interests include microbial ecology of activated sludge, separation of activated sludge and processes of wastewater treatment for reuse. He currently serves as the head of the Expert Group on Urban Wastewater Treatment and Recycling of the Czech Water Association (CzWA), as a member of the Steering Committee of the International Water Association (IWA) Specialist Group on Large Wastewater Treatment Plants and as a member of the European Technical and Scientific Committee of the European Water Association (EWA). He is an honorary member of CzWA, EWA and IWA. H-index = 28.
