Aims and Scope

With the IDEAL project, we are addressing two main areas in the context of education and training in water management:

• Training academics and specialists in water management
• Raising general awareness of water as a resource among the general public

To this end, a project team was formed from various universities and the wastewater associations in both countries in order to take both academic and practical aspects into account. The interdisciplinary nature of the institutions involved is again necessary in order to be able to comprehensively assess the entire range of influences on our waters.

The development, organization and implementation of various modules, courses and practical training events for different target groups is the main area of work in the project.

At the same time, an intensive comparison of water-related activities in both countries is being carried out with regard to

• training,
• methodological approaches and
• the status and structure of the sector.
